'What bar are you drinking in?'

That was the reaction from Brattleboro Selectboard member Rich Grant when asked about President Bush visiting town. Brattleboro has a law on the books requiring the police to arrest and detain the president or Vice President Cheney for crimes against the Constitution.

Vermont has the distinction of being the only state that President Bush has yet to visit during his presidency.

There are still 46 days left, and state GOP chairman Rob Roper gives reason to be hopeful. He says he's "heard some talk that he might be considering a trip here in the last couple of weeks of his presidency."

Brattleboro nuts

Someone should investigate the water in Brattleboro. Something in it is making every one crazy. It isn't possible to normally have that many nuts in one town.
