VT senators in minority opposing Lieberman

Updated with correction.

Only two U.S. senators had called for McCain-supporting Joe Lieberman (I-Ill.) to be stripped of his chairmanship of the Homeland Security committee, and both were from Vermont: Patrick Leahy (D) and Bernie Sanders (I).

Today, the Democratic caucus secretly voted 42 to 13 to allow Lieberman to retain his chairmanship and remain in the caucus. Sanders didn't have a vote in the matter, but (corrected: he did) according to left-leaning blog Green Mountain Daily, both Sanders and Leahy spoke in favor of stripping Lieberman of his chairmanship.
