U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy (D) -- who provided a timely, important endorsement to Barack Obama during the Democratic primaries, could be tapped for U.S. Attorney General in an Obama administration. If that were to happen, Gov. Jim Douglas (R) would appoint a replacement, probably Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie (R). Publicly, Leahy says he's not interested, but that's what everyone says right before they accept the job.
