State Rep. Rachel Weston (D-Burlington) held a press conference yesterday afternoon outside of her home in response to Sen. John McCain's (R-AZ) comments that he wasn't sure how many houses he owned and it left some Vermont Republicans laughing.

State Rep. Rachel Weston (D-Burlington) will hold a press conference this afternoon to respond to U.S. Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) comments that he wasn't sure how many houses he owns. The press conference will be held at her home.

In an interview with Politico, the senator was asked how many houses he owns and responded: "I think — I'll have my staff get to you. It's condominiums where — I'll have them get to you."

As reported earlier, the Vermont Democratic Party will be holding a book party for former Governor Madeleine Kunin this evening in Burlington.

Upper-level tickets are being sold at $100, $250, and $500 apiece. The Party says that the suggested contribution is $25, but it won’t turn anyone away at the door. All proceeds will benefit the state Democratic Party.  read more »
