More on the Kunin book party

As reported earlier, the Vermont Democratic Party will be holding a book party for former Governor Madeleine Kunin this evening in Burlington.

Upper-level tickets are being sold at $100, $250, and $500 apiece. The Party says that the suggested contribution is $25, but it won’t turn anyone away at the door. All proceeds will benefit the state Democratic Party.

“We are really excited and we are expecting a great turnout,” said Vermont Democratic Party executive director Jill Krowinski, who said that about 100 people have said they will be attending.

Rep. Rachel Weston, the youngest member of the House, and Party vice chair Judy Bevans are expected to make appearances at the event.

Peter Galbraith, a potential Democratic gubernatorial candidate, said he would not be able to make the trip from his home in Townshend.
