POLL: MAJORITY OF VERMONTERS WANT A NEW GOVERNOR

Statement from Symington Campaign on tonight's statewide poll showing Governor Douglas at 48% support for re-election and a 43% unfavorable rating: 

After six years of failed leadership on jobs, energy, transportation and other major issues, Vermonters are ready for a change.  Despite having outspent our campaign by 3 to 1, running ads for two months, campaigning relentlessly, and being a public figure for 36 years, a majority of Vermonters have rejected Jim Douglas. The more Vermonters learn about his real record and our new ideas to get Vermont's economy moving again, the more this race will swing our way."
