The Chester Select Board has appointed a new town manager according to The Rutland Herald. Julie Hance was selected to fill the position of interim town manager following Susan S. Spaulding's decision to leave after 14 years of service.
"Hopefully, this will be short-term, but we don't know for sure," chairman Richard G. Jewett told the Herald.
Hance, who served as Chester's assistant town clerk for four years, speculated her tenure would only last for about a month.
Hance was selected from a pool of 53 candidates in total.
